Pitterle Family Vacation

My parents and my three youngest sisters came out to Utah this past week for a vacation. We had such a blast and enjoyed every minute of it. Some of the things we did consisted of: Water Skiing, jumping off the back of the boat, floating on Utah Lake; Shopping in Park City; Bowling; Harry Potter (The Movie); Swimming at Antelope Island/The Great Salt Lake (which you can also float easily on due to the high density of salt); Shopping at Cabela's, and the BYU Bookstore; swimming at the Scera Pool Water Park; The Candy Factory; Downtown Salt Lake which included a tour of Brigham Young's house and the the North Visitor's Center; Hiking to Bridal Veil Falls; a drive around the Alpine Loop; Hairspray (The Movie); more swimming at the Scera Pool; Thanksgiving Pointe, which included the beautiful gardens and the Children's Fun place; and last but not least shopping at IKEA!!!!

I had such a great week off of work spending time with my family and letting my step-dad make some delicious, mouth watering homemade food such as: Crepes, Fajitas, Salsa, Banana Bread, Strawberry Pancakes, and Pizza to name a few!!!! I'm already missing his cooking, but I'm enjoying the left-overs!

Also, this week I started the first Harry Potter book. I have the habbit of starting a series after the last book comes out, so I don't have to wait two years for it to be released. I read the first three books this week and wish I could take another week off to continue lying by the pool, soaking up the sun and enjoying Harry Potter!

What a fabulous week!!! I'm sad to be back at work already. Enjoy the pictures! :)

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Tomorrow is our 3-year anniversary!!! Needless to say we've already celebrated by exchanging gifts and having a relaxing and romantic weekend:

1. We went to Utah College of Massage Therapy where we purchased a 1-hour massage for both of us and then after finishing received an additional hour of massage! What a wonderful treat!
2. We went to Draper and stopped at the new IKEA, which is AMAZING!!!! If you haven't taken this trip, I promise you won't be disappointed. I've already started making my list for furniture and accessories! :)
3. We got ready and went to Salt Lake to the New Yorker. Incredible food but highly over priced.
4. We exchanged gifts (my favorite part!!!! Even though we both already guessed what we had purchased for each other)!
As Matthew is an avid runner and training for his second marathon, I purchased a sweet GPS watch for him:
My wonderful husband got me tickets to see my favorite entertainer:

On July 17th we are going to see Michael Buble in concert at the eCenter!!!! I am so excited, I can't wait. There will definitely be updates on that coming soon!!!

Kids say the darndest things...

Miracle, Anya, Mikayla

I try to call my little sisters at least once a week to talk to them and say hello. My youngest sisters are Miracle (10), Mikayla (8), and Anya (6). Last week I was talking to Mikayla on the phone and the first topic of conversation went like this:

"Emily, why don't you want to have any kids?"
"Mikayla, who told you I don't want to have any kids?"
"Daddy said that you take medicine, I forgot what it's called, because you don't want any kids."
"I take medicine that's called birth control because I don't want to have kids TODAY!"
"Oh, okay..."

In that same phone call, I spoke to Anya who was in tears because she hurt her leg. She told me I better call her the next day because she was too hurt to talk on the phone. Miracle is my best buddy, they are coming to visit me in July and she is already talking about how horrible it will be when she has to leave me and how she will "cry and cry"...
My sisters are so cute! I've really missed being away from them. I can't wait to see them, but for now...I'm taking medicine because "I don't want kids"!
