Savior of the World

A few weeks ago, when all the Temple Square Events went on sale for the Holiday Season, I decided to buy tickets to Savior of the World for Matthew and I and his whole family. We went to see the show on December 8th. It was such an incredible performance, one I recommend everyone seeing at least once. It a musical drama about the birth and resurrection of the Savior. It was so good and something that I was needing to see. My only regret is that we didn't have time to walk around Temple Square after the performance and see the Christmas lights.

Christmas Card

This year was the first year I actually sent out Christmas cards. I've always wanted to do them for someone else, but decided I should just do them for myself even though Matthew and I don't have any kids yet. I've had a few requests to post this, so here it is... Merry Christmas!

It's been so LONG....

It's been ENTIRELY too long....over a month to be exact. I can't believe I've been away for so long. Half of the month was spent with family in Arizona over Thanksgiving, I hope everyone had a FABULOUS Turkey Day! They other half has been working my tail off on two separate weddings and our Christmas Cards (posts on those coming soon...).

My trip was wonderful, except I didn't take very many pictures. I was in Arizona from November 10th-26th and I still didn't feel like I had enough time to see old friends and spend enough time with my family. My most favorite part of the trip was hitting all of my favorite places to eat, shop, and more eats!!!! These are my favorite to name a few:

Pete's Fish & Chips (ate there twice)
The Vine Wing & Tavern (also ate here twice)
Bahama Bucks (went at least once a day and sometimes twice, I'm a little obsessed with this wonderful shaved ice shack, especially when it's still 90* in the middle of November)
In-N-Out Burger (The fries are my favorite part of this place)
Dilly's Deli (This little Deli has the best sandwiches and soup/bread bowls)

I also got to go to the new mall in Gilbert which was fabulous and spend lots of time with Family and even see a few girls from High School. My trip was great, the only problem....I probably won't be back until NEXT Christmas....

My Cute niece Jayme, who turned had her 4th birthday while I was there.
My little nephew Cole, he just turned two in September.
Jake, he'll be 1 in a few short days!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't get into Halloween too much this year. I didn't carve pumpkins, I didn't dress up and to tell you the truth I was working all night on Halloween. Every year, I have to work until midnight on Halloween, due to the nature of my position, I have to help in the end of the year order processing. Our fiscal year ends on October 31st EVERY year; therefore, I miss out on my Aunt and Uncle's famous Halloween Party along with everything else!!!

My work, however, does allow kids under 12 to come and trick or treat office to office and I was lucky enough to have my cute niece and nephew come to Novell and trick or treat to their Aunt Em!!!! That was by FAR the highlight of my LONG evening!!!! Happy Holidays!

Emily Jane Creations

I've spent the last few years making invitations and announcements for various events for friends and family. I normally scan in all of my 'creations' and post them on my website here. My best friend Bethany, (the wonderful photographer who I thank for my fall pictures with Matthew which you can view here) suggested she take some pictures of my work and I was thrilled for the offer. I can't believe how much better these look on camera!!!!! I love them so much, I've spent so much time and energy on all of my invitations and I finally feel like I have something that shows them off!!! This is the first of MANY photographs to come!! Thank you Bethany for being my personal photographer!!!! You are so great at what you do!

Woot Woot!!!!!

I just wanted to say CONGRATULATIONS to Connor and Lindsey who are officially engaged!!!! It's seems like it's been a long time coming although they've only been dating for 6 months. They are PERFECT for each other and I am so happy for them!!! Wedding is set for December 29th in the Mount Timpanogos Temple. Lindsey has been such a great friend to me and we have been through a lot together. She truly deserves the best and I know Connor will give her just that. Hooray for best friends and weddings!

Jill's Baby Shower

Jill's baby shower was on Saturday during the Priesthood session of Conference. I was very stressed to prepare for this little event, as most of you know I am a perfectionist which usually comes through in most things I take on. Friday night and Saturday were spent preparing the food, the decorations and how everything would be set up. When all of it was said and done, I had a wonderful time!!!! My sister-in-law loved it and it couldn't have gone more smoothly! I hope you enjoy the pictures and I have to give props to Mauri and Julie Johnson for posting such cute pics of Julie's shower (I stole most of my ideas from you, although my mother-in-law came up with the Diaper Cake idea all on her own!)

Srapbooking

Mother-in-law asked if I'd make some scrapbook pages for people to sign at my Sister-in-law's baby shower this weekend. She thought we should go with the same colors that were used on the invitations I made a few weeks ago for this event. I was pretty stressed out with all of the planning of the food, decorations and what not, so my great friend Bethany came over in my time of need and helped me with the scrapbook pages. They are adorable thanks to her!!!!! (I can do announcements and invitations all day long, but I'm not a big fan of scrapbooking in general). Thanks Bethany, I couldn't have gotten these pages done without you! :) Enjoy!
